Leadership is often understood in terms of power, ambition, manipulation and assertiveness.
Business literature is cluttered with “how to” books that profile the famous and successful who have fought and won by these values. The Roman Empire was dominated by similar powerful and manipulative dynasties riddled with competition, violence, greed and trickery. Jesus modeled a different game plan for leadership. His leadership is reflected in His life and character revealed in scripture in stark contrast to the soap opera of abuse and distortion around us.
