What does it mean to follow Christ?

You might be wondering how faith in Jesus relates to your life? If you are, you are not alone. We believe everyone is on a spiritual journey and we want to be a safe place for people to explore questions of faith.

For some the cross is of no interest, for others the cross is a point of curiosity that leading to active searching. The cross reveals two key questions about faith, the first is, who is Jesus? The second, is about connection, what kind of love is found in being part of God’s family.

The decision to entrust your life to Jesus Christ determines his place in your life and your place in his family. Our journey of faith does not end there but takes on new meaning as we learn how to walk deeper to experience that new life, grow in community, and find new purpose and mission in God’s kingdom.

Making a Faith Commitment

Admit you are not God and are powerless to achieve God’s favor or earn His forgiveness for sin.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. – Romans 3:23 NET

Believe that Jesus Christ is God, that He died on the cross for your sins, and that He is risen from the dead. The Father and I are one.” – John 10:30 NET

Jesus replied, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. – John 14:6 NET

By an act of your will, tell Jesus you turn your life over to Him, accepting Him as the only Savior and risen hope. Thank him for His forgiveness and His promise to be present with you. Asking Him to help you learn to follow God’s design and desires for your life.
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation. – Romans 10:9–10 NET
